Foundations of Practice: Egún & Ngöndro

(1-on-1 or 10 weeks for groups)

These practices can be foundational for all of us to return to again and again, to refresh our commitment & inspiration, re-find our center, re-ignite our joy and love of practice, and as offerings of thanks to the lineages who have nurtured us and given so much over the centuries and millennia. These approaches can deepen and stabilize our practice, wherever we may be on our journeys.

Egún is a Yoruba word for “ancestors,” and is used to describe this aspect of practice in Lucumi, which engages the ancestral realm and enlightened spirits.

Ngöndro is a Tibetan word meaning “that which goes before,” and are considered preparation for more advanced practice. These practices are also often taken as a full path to liberation, and some of us return to them regularly with great love.

Join me as we re-ground, refreshen our commitment, and deepen our practice continually, throughout our lifetimes.
